This competition is open to all engineering,
construction management and architectural design students from both
public and private institutions of higher learning.

Registration
is free of charge, no fees shall be imposed.

Only valid registration forms submitted online
on or before the closing date shall be accepted.

All designs must be original and include a
model.

Participants must be undergraduate students.
-
Participation is on a team basis made up of a
minimum
of 3 students.

Each team can be assisted by their
lecturers/tutors as mentors.

Institutions may send as many teams as
possible.
-
There will only be three major prizes for the
competition.

To ensure strict compliance, all updates,
announcements or additional rules will be published on this website
from time to time.
- The decision of the judges is
final. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained.

Each team is required to submit a Technical
poster.
-
The submission of the Technical poster is a
prerequisite for qualification into the finals.
-
The poster size must not be larger than two A1
sized paper.
-
Poster should depict two hand drawn colored
sketches of your proposed solution presenting 2 views, namely the front
elevation view and a typical cross section.

Poster should describe briefly the technical
specifications: type of building materials used, size of structure with
dimensions and construction methodology.

Only shortlisted participants notified for
qualifications into the finals of the competition are required to build
the scale models.

You may use any raw materials for building the
models. Examples : cement, styrofoam, metal, cardboard, paper, recycled
materials, wood, glue, nails, wires etc.

The dimension of the model must not exceed
1.0m length x 0.5m width x 0.5m height.

The cost of constructing the model should not
exceed RM 200.00.

Finalists are required to display their
posters and models on the day of the event at Universiti Malaya for evaluation.
Scale models shall be judged based on its originality, creativity,
innovativeness, practicality, aesthetics etc.

projector for the multimedia/powerpoint presentation.
